When students are assigned to undertake a certain academic project, they are expected to complete it in a given period of time. Instructors typically instruct their students to complete their project within the given time limit and submit them on or before a certain deadline.
One of these academic projects, and perhaps the most important one, is the dissertation. Dissertation writings are structured, complicated and lengthy projects. Its physical length alone covers as little as 10,000 words and as much as 100,000 terms. Writing a dissertation is not a project that a student could finish in a day or a week. Typically, students are given months, or even years in some cases, complete their dissertations. Professors usually set submission deadlines because they believe the time allotted is enough for their students. Professors also set the submission deadline months or weeks before the student’s final academic term ends. Setting this deadline is just fair and reasonable, since professors also need ample time to assess the research work submitted by their students before deciding to give them passing grades, allow them to graduate and receive their respective degrees.
Sadly though, students encounter some situations that are hard to avoid and yet delay the dissertation writing process. Writing dissertations is a time-limited project, which means any time delayed is time wasted. Of course, it leaves students lesser time to complete their dissertations. Much worse, the quality of their works could be affected, since they might rush to meet the submission deadline.
